Overview

Shanti Maurice is a boutique lifestyle resort with an award-winning spa located around a pristine horseshoe coral sand cove, on the largely untouched south coast of Mauritius near the small town of St Felix. Formerly known as Shanti Ananda and a sister property to Ananda in the Himalayas, the re-launch of the resort this June marks a departure from the Ananda brand, with its Destination Spa roots, and embraces a genuine Mauritian experience.

Set between the turquoise of the Indian Ocean and the vivid greens of the sugarcane fields, Shanti Maurice provides its guests with access to the sights, sounds and flavours of the unique mix of Indian, African, French and Chinese influences that form the Mauritian culture. From sourcing the majority of the restaurants’ ingredients from the island’s farmers and fishermen, to supporting village crafts by supplying hand-woven beach carriers, the team at Shanti Maurice has taken enormous care to work with the community both to respect its environs and minimize the impact of the resort on it.
The pride of the almost exclusively local staff at the resort is evident throughout the Shanti Maurice experience, manifesting itself in genuinely warm and caring service. Accommodation

The resorts accommodation comprises 61 spacious suites & villas. All the villas enjoy privileged beachfront locations overlooking the sea?and are designed to ensure privacy.

44 Junior Ocean View Suites (81sq m)

Housed in independent Villa structures with 4 units in each villa, two on the ground floor and two on the first floor. All junior suites have large balconies overlooking the ocean or a large private courtyard. Spacious bathrooms feature outdoor shower in an enclosed courtyard. There is a separate dressing room with a walk in closet and dressing table.

5 Luxury Villas with Pool (208sq m)

Each villa has a 54sq m temperature controlled private swimming pool, exclusive private gardens and private salas. All villas have outdoor showers in an enclosed courtyard and lounge beds.

5 Luxury Suite Villas with Pool (376sq m)

These includes the same facilities as the luxury villa with pool plus a large living room.

3 Two Bedroom Luxury Suite Villas with Pool (500sq m)

With two bedrooms, two bathrooms with separate dressing rooms and a large living room, these villas are ideal for a family or friends. The vast interior and exterior space gives you the freedom to spend time together or apart. Meals can be taken in the large dining area or al fresco in one of the ‘Sala’ garden pavilions. The three villas have a temperature-controlled swimming pool with built-in Jacuzzi, a private garden and an enclosed courtyard with lounge beds. The outdoor rain shower offers the opportunity to shower beneath the sky and the palms in blissful exclusion

1 Presidential Villa

Same facilities as the luxury villas and comprise of 3 bedrooms in total. Open courtyards, exotically landscaped private garden and a swimming pool with a built in jacuzzi

Nira Spa

Nira Spa is built around an enchanting tea pavilion, surrounded by lily ponds and indigenous flower gardens. Covering over 75,000 sq. feet and comprising 25 treatments rooms, Nira Spa is one of the largest and most comprehensive in the Indian Ocean. Trained masseurs and spa therapists work alongside personal trainers and Ayurvedic Doctor to encourage optimum health and mental well-being.
In line with the culturally referential philosophy of the resort, the treatments offered at the Nira Spa reflect the diverse Indian and African heritage of Mauritius with the superb core Ayurvedic spa being complimented by the multi award-winning African products and treatments developed by Africology.
